Ingredients
1 chicken leg quarter (drumstick and thigh)
2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (for color and smokiness)
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste for spiciness)
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish (optional)
Lemon wedges for serving
Banane Ki Vidhi
Prepare the Marinade:
- In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, ground cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, turmeric powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt to form a smooth marinade.
Marinate the Chicken:
- Make slits on the chicken leg quarter to allow the marinade to penetrate.
- Coat the chicken with the prepared marinade, ensuring it is well covered. Allow it to marinate for at least 1-2 hours, or overnight in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.
Grill the Chicken:
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Grill the marinated chicken leg quarter, turning occasionally, until it is fully cooked and has a nice char on the outside. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Serve:
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves (optional).
- Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
