Banane Ki Vidhi

Prepare the Moong Dal:

    • Rinse the moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 2-3 hours.
    • After soaking, drain the water and blend the moong dal into a smooth batter using minimal water.

Mix and Season:

    • Transfer the moong dal batter to a bowl.
    • Add chopped green chili, grated ginger, chopped onions, tomatoes, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
    • Optionally, add baking soda and cumin seeds to enhance fluffiness and flavor.

Cooking:

    • Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.
    • Grease the pan with a few drops of oil.
    • Pour a ladleful of the moong dal batter onto the center of the pan and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin pancake.

Flip and Cook:

    • Cook until the edges start to lift, and the bottom is golden brown.
    • Flip the chilla and cook the other side until it’s cooked through and lightly browned.

Serve:

    • Repeat the process for the remaining batter.
    • Serve hot with green chutney or yogurt.
