2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme

Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare Chicken:

Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel and place them in a baking dish.

Make Marinade:

In a small bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, honey or maple syrup, olive oil, minced garlic, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.

Marinate Chicken:

Coat the chicken breasts with the Dijon mustard marinade, ensuring they are well-covered. Let them marinate for about 15-20 minutes for the flavors to infuse.


Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Broil (Optional):

If you prefer a slightly crispy top, you can broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes until the edges are golden brown.


Garnish the baked Dijon mustard chicken with fresh parsley if desired.


Serve the chicken with lemon wedges on the side for an extra citrus kick.
