1 lb (about 450g) broccoli florets
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt and black pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)

Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare Broccoli:

Trim the broccoli into bite-sized florets. If the broccoli stems are thick, you can peel and slice them into thin rounds.

Toss with Olive Oil and Garlic:

In a large mixing bowl, toss the broccoli with olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Ensure the broccoli is evenly coated with the mixture.


Spread the seasoned broccoli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are crispy and the broccoli is tender. Stir halfway through the baking time.
